The Foundation for Research into Children's Diseases

On March 3rd 1977, the Telethon for research into children's diseases, formerly known as the "Telethon of Stars", was inaugurated. Broadcast in English on CFCF 12 and in French on
the TQS network, the Telethon, which is held on the first weekend of December, caps a full year of fund-raising activities organized by thousands of volunteers in every region of Quebec under
the aegis of the Foundation for research into children's diseases. Since its first Telethon in 1977, the Foundation for Research into Children's Diseases has become the most important source
of non-governmental funding for pediatric research in Quebec. |
