GROUPE-ACCES – Continues its Expansion of its Wireless Broadband Internet Network to include Laurel, 16 Island Lake, Harrington, Weir, La Minerve and Labelle

Montreal, June 8, 2009 – GROUPE-ACCES communications (GAC), the largest alternative telecommunications network provider in the Laurentians, today announced that it has expanded its wireless high-speed Internet services network to include Laurel, 16 Island, Lake Harrington, Weir, La Minerve and Labelle. Wireless broadband speeds of 0.5Mbps to 4Mbps are now available in these three areas. GAC is expanding its high-speed wireless network that already serves local businesses and residents in over sixty (60) areas in the Laurentians. Faster speeds will be available later this year.

"GAC has been a leader in introducing new technologies that have expanded the reach, performance and service offerings of telecommunications networks throughout the Laurentians,” said Mr. Aaron Remer, Director of GROUPE-ACCES communications.. “Our customers have come to expect the highest quality broadband services from GAC. We are confident we can bring true broadband services to more areas than ever before and surpass our customers’ expectations for high quality, reliable service as we have been for over five years," continued Mr. Remer. "We will continue to expand quickly based on the growing demand for dedicated high-speed Internet services from local businesses and residents of these three communities."

Because of its reach, broadband wireless technology can beam high-speed connections via microwave to places where wires would be difficult or uneconomical to install, such as across lakes or forests. The wireless system enables connectivity to any business or residence without structural barriers. By not having "last mile" access barriers to overcome, GROUPE-ACCES is able to offer Internet service to areas not serviced by traditional providers and is opening the Internet gates to thousands of new users.

In addition to its point-to-multi-point microwave service, GAC has added WiFi access as well as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) services in some areas. The new WiFi and DSL service offerings extend the growing GROUPE-ACCES network and help empower people to connect effortlessly to their workplace and to those who matter most. This summer GAC will be also be offering its own Internet telephony service to enhance the current bundle of connectivity options.

"GAC is recognized as a pioneer in wireless networking, with proven success in planning, deploying and operating advanced communications networks,” said Mr. Marvin Garellek, of GROUPE-ACCES communications.
